Who is this listing for?
The landlord does not need a Reside account. Their name and number go on the listing, and Reside holds it until you hand it over to them.
This is the number renters will call and message.
Only used to tell them the listing is approved. Never shown to renters.
Where you read it. Required, because a home nobody asked us to build needs an answer to "where did you get this" that does not rely on anyone remembering.
Only when their post asks for more than the two months the Residential Tenancies Act allows. Enter the legal figure in the pricing step as normal; this records what they actually asked, and the claim page explains the difference to them in their own words. Reside never publishes the larger number.
The basics
All required. No listing goes live without them.
Pick this first. It is what narrows the house search underneath.
Pick your building and the area and pin fill themselves in. Not there? Type the name and carry on.
The ward or neighbourhood. It is how renters tell one end of an island from the other.
The listing shows the rent in MVR.
Refundable. Held against damage, returned at the end of the tenancy.
Rent collected upfront on top of the deposit. Not refundable, and it counts towards future months.
Type both amounts yourself. We show exactly what you enter, and we never convert between MVR and USD.
Renters see this on your listing. Both means you will take either, at the amount you typed for it.
Renters see this exact pin. It is how they find you.
One or more bedrooms in a shared flat. You will describe the arrangement next.
The proper bedrooms. A maid's room or a store is the extra room, asked next.
A smaller room besides the bedrooms: a maid's room, a store, a study.
Details
Renters ask all of this anyway. Answer it once here, and stop repeating yourself over WhatsApp.
The flat
Two parts: the flat everyone shares, then the room you are letting. The flat is answered once. List another room in it and we will not ask again. Anything marked optional can be left alone.
Everyone in the flat, not just this room.
Leave it empty if there is no curfew. Most flats have none, and saying so beats saying nothing.
This room
One listing per room, and each can be featured on its own.
For your eyes only. It is how you tell your rooms apart, and renters never see it.
Tell us how many beds are in the room first.
Room Arrangement
You are renting bedrooms inside a shared flat. This is what renters want to know before they ask.
Tell us the size of the flat first.
Optional.
Renters filter on this more than anything else here. It is worth getting exact.
Pick everyone you would accept, or Anyone, which stands on its own.
Pick the rules you keep, or No Rules, which stands on its own.
Optional. It only helps renters suggest a time you are likely to be free. Nothing is ever booked without you.
Photos
Good photos get three times the inquiries. Add 4 to 10 of them.
Contact info
How tenants reach you. None of it is public until your listing is approved.
A Maldives mobile: 7 digits, starting with 7 or 9.
Some numbers have no WhatsApp, and some only have WhatsApp. If yours are split, put the other one here.
Listing submitted!
We will read it within 24 to 48 hours. Renters cannot see it until it is approved, and you can follow where it stands from your profile.
